Amanda Hobson has made it onto Canada’s Women’s Executive Networks Top 100 Most Powerful Women List.
The Women’s Executive Network seeks to recognize strong women who have been essential in advocating for women in the workforce, and who serve as inspiration for the next generation.
An Impressive Resume
Amanda Hobson is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services for the British Colombia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). Hobson joined the organization in 2013, and worked her way up from Finance Director, to CFO. She oversees the finances and related planning, reporting to external stakeholders, corporate services and procurement.
During her tenure, Hobson closed one of the biggest contracts in the organization’s history, securing a 20-year service agreement with casino providers. The agreement will ensure more stringent regulations around accountability, attract outside investment and increase the province's revenues.
Her leadership has been described as collaborative, and she has made her mark driving the success of BCLC.
In addition to her professional achievements, Hobson sits on the board of the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation and is passionate about the development of women in professions. She dedicates time to AIM (Acts of Kindness, Inspire, Mentor) a BCLC initiative that helps women develop professionally.
Amanda was recognized under the PwC Public Sector Leader.
